Dear Cousins, Relatives
Our last reunion in 2002 was quite successful, with a hundred descendants and spouses from thirteen states in attendance. The family lines of five of the children of John May -Samuel, Thomas, Elizabeth, Mary and Reuben- were represented. A booklet of biographical sketches on all eight branches of the family descended from John was written for the reunion and is now posted on-line. You are welcome to print any or all of the sketches for your family records.
Our evening meetings in
2002 included talks on:
We also had time for a number of attendees to share photos and stories from their branches of the family.
During an evening meeting funds were contributed to have a stone placed on the graves of John and Sarah Phillips May on Shelby Creek in Pike County. Additional funds were collected in the spring of 2003 to cover the total expense. Eldon May contracted the work and supervised the placement of this monument to honor our pioneer May family. A final report on the stone, with photos, is posted on-line.
The agenda for the September 10-12 weekend has not been set and I encourage YOU to let me know of any suggestions you might have or topics of interest you would like to present. Please respond to me by mid-May so we can plan accordingly.
